Is this gecko handeable?
Yes! Most crested geckos don't enjoy handling but do tolerate it quite well. However, every crested gecko has it's own personality. Some geckos are curious and may come out while you are nearby while others may hide and be more skittish. Crested geckos are also skilled jumpers. Crested geckos may leap from one branch to another and may try to jump while you are holding them. Younger geckos tend to jump the most!
What do I do if my gecko has stuck shed?
To aid in the shedding process you can put your gecko in a "sauna". Place gecko in a deli cup or travel container with moist paper towels. Allow gecko to be in cup for 15 minutes. Then use a q-tip to remove stuck shed. Never pull shed off your reptile! If the shed is not ready to come off this can harm your gecko.
What does fired up or fired down mean?
If a crested gecko fires up the crested gecko is at it's most intense and vibrant colors. If a crested gecko is fired down then that means the gecko is showing it's dullest colors. A crested gecko may fire down when sleeping and may fire up when misted. Firing up or down does not hurt the gecko and is something they do naturally.
Can you house multiple geckos together?
This is a highly debated topic in the community. Whenever considering cohabbing of any species there are a few questions I like to ask myself. Why do I want to cohab? Does this animal benefit from cohabbing? Can cohabbing cause harm to the animal? For crested geckos they do not gain anything from being housed together. Cohabbing is strictly for keeper benefit and comes with it's own risks. For this reason Jess's Jungle does not recommend cohabbing. Here at Jess's Jungle geckos are only housed together for short periods of time during the breeding season.
Do crested geckos drop their tail? Do they grow back?

Crested geckos can drop their tail when startled. This doesn't hurt but can cause additional stress. Unlike gargoyle geckos who also live on New Caledonia, crested geckos do not grow back. Crested geckos without tails are sometimes affectionately called frog butts. If you gecko drops it's tail make sure to keep the enclosure clean and use paper towels for your substrate while they are healing.
